About Us
OUR MISSION AND VISION
OUR HISTORY AND DUTIES
REVIVE was born out of the Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance (CRCAA) Neighborhood Partners, which included the presidents of community associations in the Cody Rouge area. Five neighborhood presidents agreed to serve on the REVIVE Board and we began our journey as a Community Development Corporation (CDC) to create jobs and provide housing. We have since expanded our board to include others involved in the greater Metro Detroit area. The acronym REVIVE stands for Residents Eradicating Vacancies, Inequities, Violence and Employment Issues.
REVIVE meets monthly to discuss matters in the community and current ventures. Our goals are to share information and work together for the betterment of the community. Events the partners sponsored included Job Fairs, Yearly Neighborhood Clean-Ups and Campaigns to register voters. We secured our 501(c)(3) rating as of 2014. We work retain funds through fundraisers and grants, which will allow us to accomplish all of our goals. Some of the work that REVIVE has completed includes helping renters become homeowners and advocating for community benefits from large contracts such as the DTE O’Shea Park Solar Array project.
